Call of Duty coming to PlayStation Vita in ‘Autumn’

Bilal Soorty February 18, 2012 1

Sony’s Senior Vice President of brand marketing for PlayStation, Guy Longworth, has said that Call of Duty on the PlayStation Vita will be a “game changer for the platform” and that it is expected to hit the Vita “in the autumn”.

In an interview with GameTrailers, Longworth mentioned this small tid-bit of information but nothing more such as whether it would be an already released title or perhaps a bespoke and new iteration of Call of Duty for the handheld. Don’t hold your breath for anything original. I imagine Call of Duty on the Vita will help ship some units of the handheld which should be good for Sony.

We’ll keep you up-to-date here on MVG of any developments on this story. Stay tuned.
Thanks VG247.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’d love to see Call of Duty on PS Vita have some sort of multiplayer element. Obviously it’s what COD does best but I think it’d be incredibly addictive even on a handheld.
